Today ...

Morning Bible reading ...

"Now it came about when all the kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan to the west, and all the kings of the Caananites who were by the sea, heard how the LORD had dried up the waters of the Jordan before the sons of Israel until they had crossed, that their hearts melted, and there was no spirit in them any longer because of the sons of Israel."
Joshua 5:1

My morning tonic ;) ...

Actually, I'm drinking this due to to my desperate desire to avoid the cold that the rest of my family has been figuratively and literally been laid flat with. Raw apple cider vinegar + honey + hot water ... go get 'em!

Today's Psalm.

Bread baking was on my list today, and my favorite place to let it rise ...

is directly under the wood stove. Perfect. :)

Freshly baked bread. One of the THE best things in the world!!

Spring picnic with little sis ....

Our Australian Shephard, Jack, socializing with his girls ... but sadly unable to partake of their repast, although he would like nothing better.

Dinner prep ...

And a jam session with my brother and his new 12-string afterwards!

And now for a cup 'o tea. Goodnight :)

The Saturday Evening Post

How fun it is to look at pictures from the past few months and realize just how much has been going on - like looking back over a well-filled journal, but in visual scapes rather than text. Photos become a visual journal of sorts, so today, I'm sharing a visual journal ... a couple of good books and projects of recent weeks!

Knitting, for one ... there is nothing better than working on a handcraft while there's a read aloud going on, in this case Miracles On Maple Hill. This is a gift started a good while back ... and is still in progress. *sheepish grin*

While I was working on this, my little sis was working on a little project of her own ...

CUTE, huh? She is so artistic, and only 10! She designed several of these little cross-stitch pieces of art for Christmas gifts.

Now, just look at these beauties ...

No, they are not planks set up to keep the existing well-stuffed book shelves from losing their contents. These, my dears,  are more bookshelves, stained by me in preparation for completion of our library -- blissful thought! This project has been ongoing, and I am beyond excited to see the finished product.

The shell ...

And more staining!

Again, a good book is always a pleasant addition to the work scene ..

In fact, I think I'm off to get into my PJ's, sip a cup of tea, and read one. Have yourself one, too! :)
