O God, Who is Like You? || Summer Beginnings

For Your righteousness, O God, reaches to the heavens,
You who have done great things;
O God, who is like You?
You who have shown me many trials and distresses
Will revive me again,
And will bring me up again from the depths of the earth.
May you increase my greatness
And turn to comfort me.

Psalm 71:19-21

O Church Arise

.......

O Church Arise, and put your armor on;
Hear the call of Christ our Captain.
For now the weak can say that they are strong,
In the strength that God has given.
With shield of faith and belt of truth,
We'll stand against the devil's lies:
An army bold whose battle-cry is Love,
Reaching out to those in darkness.

Our call to war to love the captive soul,
But to rage against the captor;
And with the sword that makes the wounded whole,
We will fight with faith and valor.
When faced with trials on every side,
We know the outcome is secure;
And Christ will have the prize for which He died:
An inheritance of nations.

Come see the cross where love and mercy meet
As the Son of God is stricken;
Then see His foes lie crushed beneath His feet,
For the Conqueror has risen!
And as the stone is rolled away,
And Christ emerges from the grave,
This victory march continues till the day
Every eye and heart shall see Him.

For You light my lamp;
The LORD my God illumines my darkness.
For by You I can run upon a troop;
And by my God I can leap over a wall.

Autumnal Hints

But I have trusted in Your lovingkindness;
My heart shall rejoice in Your salvation.
I will sing to the Lord,
Because He has dealt bountifully with me.

Dear peoples! I am so enjoying getting a blog post together again. It's been far too long! Fall feels like a season of renewal for me this year ... and blogging is something I have really missed. Enjoy a taste of my autumn beginnings, along with some treasured adventuresome moments with my nephew. :o)

......

The garden has done sooo well. My mom really delved into some elements of permaculture gardening this year full tilt, with wonderful results. It's amazing to see how nature works with you ... when you work with the way God set nature up. What an original thought ...

These cheery lovelies ... they make me smile!

MOUNTAINS of squash ... pumpkins and spagetti squash. Coming out our EARS.

We FINALLY have APPLES!!!

The broken-down lawn mower is one of his favorite things. :o) We drove to the store to get groceries the other day ....

In love with our Lightning, whose story I should share in another post ... The Boy calls him "Lightin' Bolt"! *smile*

I love this time of year. God made every season so uniquely beautiful ... but fall is extra special. :) Trying to soak up the lovely changing colors and the weather as much as possible!

For You are my rock and my fortress;
For Your name's sake You will lead me and guide me.
