Psalm 147:10-11

"He does not delight in the strength of the horse; He does not take pleasure in the legs of a man. The Lord favors those who fear Him, those who wait for His lovingkindness."

What were you "waiting for" today - were you placing your hope in man? Were you fearing the One who can destroy your soul - or man, who can merely destroy the body? God only takes delight in those who are genuinely striving after Him, fearing Him and hoping in HIM. It can be so easy place our hope in things down here - when the only One who will never disappoint us is actually above, waiting for us, longing for us to choose Him. Resist the temptation to hope in man today, and wait on the LORD!

Good thoughts. So much of what we are tempted to focus on is meaningless from an eternal perspective. :-)
